Samsung invests 135 million euros in South Korean HVAC production

Samsung Electronics has announced an investment of approximately 135 million euros to construct a new HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) production line in Gwangju, South Korea. The 21,500-square-meter facility is expected to be operational by 2028.

The plant will manufacture equipment for FläktGroup, a company acquired by Samsung last year. Production will focus on advanced cooling solutions designed for AI data centers, a rapidly growing sector. This new facility marks the 15th factory in the FläktGroup network and serves as Samsung’s entry into the South Korean HVAC market.

Samsung aims to utilize the FläktGroup acquisition to establish the HVAC business as a major growth engine, targeting a top global position by 2030. The expansion follows existing FläktGroup production capacities in the United States, Europe, and India.
