Samsung launches Galaxy Tab S12 series with enhanced AI features

Samsung has launched its Galaxy Tab S12 series, featuring the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and the Galaxy Tab S12+. The tablets are powered by MediaTek’s 3nm Dimensity 9500 processor, which offers significant performance improvements over the previous generation, including a 61% faster NPU for AI tasks, a 19% faster CPU, and a 17% faster GPU.

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra features a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, while the S12+ model includes a 12.6-inch screen. Both devices support the S Pen, offer IP68 water and dust resistance, and can reach 1,600 nits of peak brightness. The Ultra model is noted as Samsung’s thinnest Galaxy Tab to date at 5.1mm.

Integration of Galaxy AI is a central focus, providing features for research, note-taking, and multitasking. The tablets run Android 17 with One UI 9. Software bundles include a six-month trial of Google AI Pro and pre-loaded applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Notability, and LumaFusion. New keyboard accessories also feature a dedicated Galaxy AI key to access assistants like Bixby, Gemini, or Perplexity.
