Samsung rolls out July 2026 security update fixing 57 vulnerabilities
Samsung announced the July 2026 security update for its Galaxy smartphones and tablets. The patch addresses a total of 57 security flaws – five rated critical, 42 high‑priority and seven moderate – with 41 fixes sourced from Google’s Android security bulletins and 16 developed by Samsung itself.
The update targets devices running Android 14, 15 or 16, including the latest flagship Galaxy S26 series as well as earlier S25 models and foldable Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 devices. Rollout is expected to start within the first two weeks of July, beginning in South Korea and then spreading gradually to other regions. Samsung urges owners to install the update as soon as it becomes available to protect personal data against known exploits.
