Samsung releases September 2026 security patch for Galaxy S24 series
Samsung has begun a global rollout of the September 2026 security patch for the Galaxy S24 series, including the S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, and S24 FE. The update is designed to address 90 known security vulnerabilities, including flaws in internal software and Android components, to mitigate risks from spyware and unauthorized access.
The update for the international S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra models is approximately 450.43MB (firmware S92xBXXSHDZI1), while the S24 FE update is roughly 438.23MB (firmware S721BXXSEDZI1). While the rollout has started in Europe, it is expected to reach other regions, such as Brazil, shortly.
Despite the importance of these security fixes, the update does not include new features or the highly anticipated One UI 9.0 based on Android 17. There is currently no confirmed timeline for the stable release of One UI 9.0, though some expectations suggest it may arrive in October.
