Samsung rolls out August 2026 security patch for Galaxy devices
Samsung has begun rolling out its August 2026 security update to several Galaxy device lineups, addressing 56 distinct security vulnerabilities. The patch includes eight critical-priority and 30 high-priority fixes identified by Google, alongside various Samsung-specific security patches.
Targeted devices include the Galaxy S26, S25, and S24 series, as well as foldable models such as the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 6. The Galaxy M55 is also among the early recipients of this update. The rollout has commenced in South Korea and is expected to expand to Europe, North America, and other global regions in the coming days.
In addition to security enhancements, the update reportedly includes a color optimization fix for the Galaxy S26 Ultra to resolve a previously reported issue where users observed a reddish tint or stain on the display at maximum brightness. Users on the One UI 9.0 beta program have already received these fixes via the latest beta builds.
