Samsung selects 40 semi-finalists for youth innovation programme in India
Samsung has announced the 40 semi-finalist teams for the fifth edition of its flagship youth innovation programme, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow, in India. The competition is open to individuals aged 14 to 22 and focuses on nurturing problem-solving skills through mentorship, technology, and hands-on prototyping.
The semi-finalists represent 26 cities across 15 states. Notably, more than half of the selected teams originate from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, including locations such as Guntur, Sundargarh, Coimbatore, Varanasi, Amritsar, and Rajkot. The teams are divided into four key themes: AI Living for India, Health and Education, Environmental Sustainability, and Sport & Tech.
Projects currently under development include AI tools for small businesses, accessible education solutions, agricultural residue management, and assistive technologies for people with disabilities. The semi-finalists will receive a cumulative Rs 8 lakh for prototype development along with Samsung laptops for each team member.
