Samsung India Solve for Tomorrow programme
Overview
Samsung India is conducting the fifth edition of its ‘Solve for Tomorrow’ youth innovation programme, which targets individuals aged 14 to 22. The initiative aims to foster entrepreneurship and problem-solving skills in areas such as artificial intelligence, health, education, environmental sustainability, and sports technology.
Initially, the company announced the selection of 100 teams from a nationwide pool of applicants, noting that over half of the participants originated from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. These teams were scheduled to receive mentorship from industry experts and academics, with the top 40 advancing to a bootcamp and visits to Samsung R&D centres.
Following the initial selection, Samsung identified 40 semi-finalists representing 26 cities across 15 states. These semi-finalists are developing projects including AI tools for small businesses, agricultural residue management, and assistive technologies. The semi-finalists are provided with Samsung laptops and a cumulative Rs 8 lakh to support prototype development.
