Samsung Smart Switch and Android tools simplify phone data transfers

Samsung’s Smart Switch app now lets users move data from iOS devices to Galaxy phones by scanning a QR code, enabling wireless transfer of photos, videos, contacts, messages and compatible apps without installing additional software on the iOS device. The updated version also supports Quick Share with AirDrop for bidirectional file sharing.

Android’s built‑in migration feature, available during the initial setup of a new device, can copy applications, settings, media and other personal data from an old Android phone to a new one. Depending on the device model and OS version, the transfer can be performed over Wi‑Fi, a cable connection, or both, provided the phones have sufficient battery and are near each other.
