Samsung tablet updates: Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra leaks and end-of-support news

Samsung is preparing for the release of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, expected in the second half of 2026. Leaked renders suggest the premium tablet will maintain a design similar to its predecessors, featuring a flat back with a horizontal dual-camera module and a U-shaped notch for the selfie camera. A significant hardware update is expected with the integration of the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset.

In terms of software support, Samsung is phasing out updates for several older models. The Galaxy Tab A9 and Galaxy Tab A9+, released in 2023, are scheduled to stop receiving Android updates in October 2026, with security updates following in 2027. This follows previous end-of-life cycles for the Galaxy Tab A8 and the Galaxy Tab S8 series.
