Samsung to launch Galaxy SmartTag 3 in India in January 2027

Samsung has confirmed that its latest location tracker, the Galaxy SmartTag 3, will launch in the Indian market in January 2027. The announcement was made by Daill Kim, Samsung India’s Head of Tablet, Note PC, and Wearable.

The new device is approximately 35% smaller by volume and 33% lighter than the previous SmartTag 2 model. It features a rounded body with an aluminium-decorated button and utilizes Bluetooth 6.0 Channel Sounding and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology to provide distance and directional guidance.

Unlike its predecessors, the Galaxy SmartTag 3 supports both compatible Galaxy and iOS devices through SmartThings Find, though certain features like Compass View and Left Behind Alert are unavailable on iOS. The tracker offers a battery life of up to 550 days under standard usage, extendable to 790 days in Power Saving Mode using a replaceable CR2032 battery.
