Samsung to shut down Daily+ service on smart TVs and monitors

Samsung has announced it will terminate its Daily+ service, an integrated hub for smart TVs, projectors, and smart monitors, on October 30, 2026. The service, which debuted at CES 2024, was designed to act as a centralized platform for health, productivity, and lifestyle activities, including fitness tracking, video calls, and smart home control.

While Samsung has not provided a specific reason for the shutdown, the company clarified that individual applications previously hosted within the hub will remain available for users to download separately through the standard TV app store. This change will impact the centralized experience, removing personalized recommendations and the unified interface.

The decision raises questions regarding recent integrations, such as Google Photos, which was added to Daily+ to provide automated memory displays and a customized launch experience. It remains unclear how these specific features will be maintained once the hub is deactivated. The service is currently supported on selected 2024 models.
