Samsung unveils Galaxy Tab S12 series and SmartTag3 tracker

Galaxy Tab S12 series Galaxy SmartTag3 Galaxy AI MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Samsung product launch

Samsung Electronics has unveiled the Galaxy Tab S12 series, featuring the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+. The new tablets are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 3nm processor and integrate Galaxy AI capabilities. The Ultra model features a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and a remarkably slim 5.1mm profile. The lineup includes support for professional applications like Adobe Photoshop and utilizes the S Pen for enhanced productivity.

Alongside the tablets, Samsung introduced the Galaxy SmartTag3 Bluetooth tracker. The device is 35% smaller and 33% lighter than its predecessor, offering up to 790 days of battery life in power-saving mode. Notably, the SmartTag3 provides cross-OS compatibility, allowing users with iPhones to track items via the SmartThings Find app, though certain features like Compass View remain exclusive to Galaxy devices. The tracker utilizes Bluetooth 6.0 Channel Sounding for improved distance and directional guidance.
