Samsung Wallet Adds Maybank MAE QR Payments in Malaysia

Samsung Malaysia and Maybank have launched a partnership that embeds Maybank MAE Scan & Pay QR functionality directly into Samsung Wallet for Galaxy users in Malaysia. The rollout began in July 2026, allowing customers to complete DuitNow QR payments without opening the MAE app, and to display their own QR code for merchants to scan.

The integration also supports cross‑border QR payments in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Cambodia where compatible networks exist. Each QR transaction earns Samsung Rewards points, and a promotional campaign running from 28 July to 30 October 2026 offers an instant RM 5 bonus on activation plus up to RM 15 in cashback or vouchers, backed by a total reward pool of RM 500,000. Users need Samsung Wallet version 6.6.69 or newer.
