Samsung XCover 6 Pro to shift from monthly to quarterly security updates

Samsung announced that the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro, its rugged smartphone launched in June 2022, will cease monthly security patches after August 2026 and will receive updates only every three months. The device had enjoyed four years of monthly updates, a relatively generous support period for a rugged model designed for harsh environments.

The longer interval between patches means that enterprises using XCover devices for field operations may face longer exposure to newly discovered vulnerabilities.
