SAMU expands emergency medical coverage in Rio Grande do Norte
The SAMU emergency medical service is expanding its reach and infrastructure in Rio Grande do Norte. In the Trairi region, the service has achieved 100% coverage across 21 municipalities, benefiting over 202,000 residents. This expansion includes the implementation of an Advanced Support Unit (USA) in Santa Cruz, which functions as a mobile intensive care unit to handle high-complexity cases.
Additionally, the municipality of Mirangaba has inaugurated a decentralized SAMU base. The new facility is designed to provide better working conditions for medical teams and increase the speed and quality of emergency responses for the local population.
