San Blas image returns to Aracena after restoration

The image of San Blas, Bishop, Martyr, and patron saint of Aracena, has returned to the Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción following an extensive restoration process. The work, conducted at the workshops of restorer Jesús Mendoza, focused on improving the sculpture's structure and polychromy to recover its original luster.

The restoration was funded by a 6,600 euro municipal investment through a collaboration agreement signed in January between the Aracena City Council and the Hermandad de la Borriquita. Local officials noted the importance of preserving this heritage, as the figure has been a central part of local devotion since its donation to the town in 1945.

The restored figure is expected to participate in upcoming processions during the town's festivities on February 3.
