San Carlos residents present community priorities to municipality

Residents and community leaders of the 11 de Septiembre sector in San Carlos met with municipal authorities during the second Territorial Council held at the Ultraestación Municipal Delegation. The meeting aimed to establish municipal priorities based on direct community feedback.

Key issues raised by residents include the need for improved road connectivity, increased public safety, and concerns regarding flooding, specifically near the Tomás Yávar canal. A major priority identified was the difficulty in accessing healthcare appointments, a problem that disproportionately affects elderly residents.

Mayor Rubén Méndez emphasized the importance of these territorial spaces to ensure municipal efforts are directed toward the most pressing local concerns. While the municipality uses these councils to gather diagnostic information, residents expressed a desire for these long-standing issues to be translated into concrete solutions.
