San Francisco del Rincón mayor demands CFE fix power failures

Alejandro Antonio Marún González, the mayor of San Francisco del Rincón, has called on the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) to address recurring power supply failures in both urban and rural areas. During a meeting with CFE Director General Emilia Esther Calleja Alor, Marún González requested preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical infrastructure, specifically targeting transformers and service connections to prevent blackouts during heavy rain or strong winds.

Marún González noted that while CFE operational staff respond to reports, work is sometimes delayed due to a lack of supplies and spare parts. Calleja Alor committed to following up on the requests made by the municipalities, focusing on the conservation and replacement of deteriorated equipment. The state governor also supported the municipal demands during the working session.
