San Francisco police nab three suspects in downtown shooting

Police officers responding to reports of gunfire near Market and Jones streets in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district found a victim with life‑threatening injuries. Within hours, the San Francisco Police Department identified and arrested three suspects.

The first two arrests were made on Waller Street, where 22‑year‑old Donovan Redmond Hayes and 30‑year‑old Deandre Gippson were stopped after a brief foot chase. Officers recovered a loaded firearm and other evidence. Hayes was booked on charges including attempted murder, felon‑in‑possession of a firearm and ammunition, and a concealed‑weapon violation. Gippson faced charges for felon‑in‑possession of ammunition and possession of methamphetamine.

A third suspect, 26‑year‑old Terry Brown, was located early the next morning on the 5400 block of Third Street and arrested for assault with a firearm, felon‑in‑possession of a firearm, and a probation violation. The investigation remains active, and the victim continues to receive medical care.
