Overview

On the night of July 26, 2026, four men who tried to break up an argument in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district were shot by the suspect, who fled the scene. All victims survived after hospitalization. Police quickly identified the shooter but had not made any arrests.

The following day, July 27, authorities announced the arrest of three men linked to the shooting. Two suspects, Donovan Redmond Hayes (22) and Deandre Gippson (30), were apprehended after a short foot chase on Waller Street, where officers recovered a loaded firearm and additional evidence. A third suspect, Terry Brown (26), was taken into custody the next morning on Third Street. All three face charges related to firearm possession, assault, and other offenses. The investigation remains active, and the injured victim continues to receive medical care.
