San Isidro technical school restores classrooms following 2016 fire
Escuela Técnica Nº 3 in San Isidro is undergoing significant restoration works nearly a decade after a fire damaged its structure in 2016. The renovation project, which began in March, aims to rehabilitate deteriorated spaces and improve general conditions for the approximately 600 students enrolled at the institution.
To date, eight classrooms have been fully restored, featuring renovated electrical and plumbing systems, repaired interior ceilings, and new paint. Work is currently progressing on an additional 12 classrooms, with tasks ranging from electrical upgrades to the replacement of ceilings.
In addition to repairing fire-damaged areas, the project addresses pre-existing issues such as leaks. Improvements include the installation of new lighting, replacement of deteriorated windows and frames, and the addition of safety protections on windows. San Isidro Mayor Ramón Lanús visited the site, stating that the works aim to provide the community with dignified classrooms and workshops.
