Latin American regions launch diverse infrastructure and mobility projects

Various regional infrastructure and social initiatives are being implemented across Latin America to improve urban mobility, safety, and sustainability.

In Peru, the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima inaugurated road improvements in Barranco, while Ucayali announced a S/ 217 million investment to enhance connectivity across 100 kilometers of departmental roads. In Colombia, Samacá is advancing strategic works worth over $8 billion pesos, and plans for the Tibanica Bridge aim to connect Soacha and Bogotá with integrated transport infrastructure.

In Chile, the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism announced the second stage of the Ciudad de los Vientos project in Punta Arenas, and debates continue regarding tolling for the new Valdivia access roads. In Honduras, the SIT has begun bidding for projects to reduce congestion in Tegucigalpa.

Social and environmental programs are also active, including composting workshops in Argentina and school garden initiatives in Panama. In Argentina, local governments in Resistencia and Concordia are focusing on road safety and paving, while Paraná is working to formalize electricity connections for local families.
