San Juan del Río businesses demand faster Highway 57 construction

Business leaders and transport representatives in San Juan del Río are calling on the Mexican federal government to accelerate construction work on Highway 57. They warn that ongoing delays are causing significant economic losses, hindering worker mobility, and threatening the competitiveness of the state of Querétaro.

Víctor Hugo Rodríguez López, president of CANACINTRA San Juan del Río, noted that uncertainty regarding alternate routes and constant delays are complicating logistics and increasing costs for companies. Additionally, the Sindicato Unión de Taxibuses CTM reported that public transport routes are facing severe delays of up to 30 minutes per trip, resulting in increased fuel expenses and financial losses for drivers.
