Initially, representatives from CANACINTRA San Juan del Río and the Sindicato Unión de Taxibuses CTM reported that construction delays were causing economic losses, increasing fuel expenses, and creating public transport delays of up to 30 minutes.

As the situation progressed, Alfredo Sahagún Sánchez, president of Canacintra in Querétaro, described the state of the highway as a “collapse” of a vital route. He noted that the disruption has escalated to include production halts at some companies because employees cannot reach their workplaces due to commutes increasing by several hours. Canacintra has signaled its intention to meet with the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transport (SICT) to demand a specific work plan and concrete completion dates.
