San Juan del Río mayor leads 130‑plus citizen services in Barrio de La Cruz

The municipal government of San Juan del Río held the 37th edition of its "Viernes en tu Comunidad" outreach in the Barrio de La Cruz. Mayor Roberto Cabrera Valencia chaired the event, during which nine municipal departments set up service desks and provided more than 130 individual attendances.

Attendees received assistance ranging from visual‑health exams, water‑service requests, and agricultural support (vaccines, dewormers and vitamins for cattle) to social aid such as tomato distributions and enrollment for low‑cost basic goods. Public works staff repainted road markings, signposted streets and carried out street‑cleaning and vegetation removal. The mayor also presented progress on local infrastructure, notably the rehabilitation of Calle 5 de Mayo.

The program aimed to strengthen interaction between citizens and the municipal administration, demonstrating coordinated efforts across health, public safety, social services, water supply, and urban development to address the community’s immediate needs.
