San Juan del Río mayor leads “Viernes en Vaquerías” outreach in Vaquerías

Municipal president Roberto Cabrera Valencia headed the 40th edition of the “Viernes en Vaquerías” outreach program in the community of Vaquerías, accompanied by his cabinet and Secretary of Government Abel Espinoza Suárez. The event set up citizen‑service tables where residents received more than 30 individual attendances, a visual‑health campaign, and direct assistance from municipal departments including DIF, water and sewage, agriculture, women’s affairs, social development, public works, urban development and public security.

Municipal staff also painted speed‑reducer bumps, installed traffic signs, donated clothing and trees, painted a basketball court, and carried out livestock‑identification and cleaning actions. Officials said the program aims to foster co‑responsibility, improve communication with citizens and provide services locally so people need not travel to central offices. Similar “Viernes en Comunidad” sessions have been held in other neighborhoods of the municipality as part of a broader strategy to bring government closer to the population.
