San Juan electrical grid investment reaches 83% execution

The E.P.R.E. has completed an audit as of September 2026 regarding the progress of the San Juan electrical distribution network strengthening plan. This initial phase of the 2026-2031 Reference Investment Plan has a budgeted amount of $28,011,221,140, funded through national electricity credits and provincial tariff investment funds.

As of the audit date, 83% of the budgeted amount for equipment and works has been verified as executed. Field surveys conducted by technical personnel confirmed progress on works carried out by Naturgy San Juan S.A., including civil works and equipment for the Albardón-Chimbas Transformation Field No. 2.

Additionally, progress was noted in distribution works at ET San Juan Sur and the expansion of ET Ischigualasto. Building works for several transformer stations, including ET Sargento Cabral and ET Pistacho, are either completed or in their final closing stages. In ET Sargento Cabral, the assembly of 33 kV and 13.2 kV cells has reached 98% progress.
