San Juan weather forecast predicts thunderstorms and high temperatures

The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (INDOMET) has issued a weather forecast for the province of San Juan, predicting increased cloudiness, thunderstorms, and wind gusts in mountainous areas for the upcoming weekend.

On Friday, September 25, 2026, local effects and a trough are expected to cause scattered showers and thunderstorms, particularly in higher elevations. For Saturday and Sunday, a high-pressure system will bring relatively dry conditions to much of the territory, though some precipitation may occur in the Cordillera Central and Cibao regions. In San Juan, conditions are expected to remain stable with minimal rainfall, though temperatures will remain high, with maximums ranging between 33°C and 35°C.

INDOMET advises residents to stay hydrated, wear light clothing, and avoid direct sun exposure between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
