San Luis Potosí advances Arena Potosí grade‑separated underpass project
The state government of San Luis Potosí is constructing the Arena Potosí grade‑separated underpass, a roughly 1 km long road structure designed to speed vehicle flow in the city’s south‑central area. The project also incorporates a natural rainwater drainage system that uses the underpass’s slope to channel water away, aiming to lower flood risk during the rainy season.
Seduvop head Isabel Leticia Vargas Tinajero said the work follows all technical and safety standards, with required guarantees and bonds in place. While construction is ongoing, the final cost has not yet been determined, as additional works or adjustments may arise before project completion. The underpass is part of a broader effort to modernize urban infrastructure and improve quality of life for residents of San Luis Potosí.
