San Luis Potosí commerce sales climb in April under Governor Gallardo

According to the April 2026 Monthly Survey of Commercial Enterprises (EMEC) by INEGI, retail businesses in San Luis Potosí recorded a 4.6% increase in revenue from the supply of goods and services, while wholesale firms saw a 7.4% rise. Employment in retail grew by 0.6% and wages rose 6.4%; wholesale wages increased 2.7% and purchases of goods for resale climbed 5.3%.

The data are presented as evidence that the economic policies of Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona are boosting purchasing power, generating jobs and improving living standards for residents of the state.
