San Marino signs Artemis Accords to join space economy

San Marino has officially become a signatory to the Artemis Accords, joining the international agreement for cooperation in space exploration. The formal signing was conducted by Secretary of State for Industry Rossano Fabbri during the Beyond Exploration Expo in Rimini, in the presence of U.S. Consul General Joe Tordella and NASA’s European lead Gregory Mann.

This move is part of the Republic’s strategy to establish a presence in the New Space Economy. By implementing a new regulatory framework designed to provide certainty for private operators, San Marino aims to integrate its domestic enterprises into international aerospace value chains.

The event also highlighted the launch of SpaceLand, an international aerospace consortium based in San Marino. The project intends to create a specialized hub for scientific, biomedical, and technological industries, with long-term goals of supporting satellite deployment.
