On September 13, 2026, Djibouti became the 72nd nation to sign the Accords, marking the eighth African nation to join the coalition. On September 21, 2026, Albania became the 73rd signatory, with Minister Ferit Hoxha noting the agreement strengthens strategic partnerships and fosters scientific cooperation. On September 23, 2026, Croatia became the 74th signatory, signing at the Ministry of Science, Education, and Youth in Zagreb.

On September 25, 2026, San Marino joined the framework as a signatory. The signing was conducted by Secretary of State for Industry Rossano Fabbri during the Beyond Exploration Expo in Rimini, in the presence of U.S. Consul General Joe Tordella and NASA’s head for Europe, Gregory Mann. Fabbri stated the Republic intends to build a competitive ecosystem to integrate local businesses into international aerospace value chains, aiming to establish a position within the ‘New Space Economy’.

The Expo also featured the presentation of SpaceLand, an international consortium and the first aerospace enterprise based in San Marino, envisioned as a technological and scientific hub that could eventually support satellite launches from near the Republic.

This expansion supports NASA’s broader Artemis program, which aims to return humans to the lunar surface and establish a permanent presence as a precursor to future missions to Mars.
