San Marino Team secures four medals at Mediterranean Games
Christian Forcellini, President of the San Marino Olympic Committee (CONS), has reviewed the San Marino Team's performance at the Taranto 2026 Mediterranean Games. The delegation secured four medals during the competition.
Specifically, the sports of bocce and clay pigeon shooting (tiro a volo) earned prestigious results, demonstrating the nation's ability to compete against larger countries with more extensive resources. Forcellini emphasized that the value of the games extended beyond the medal count, highlighting the unity, pride, and sense of belonging displayed by the athletes.
The event served as a significant milestone for many young athletes who competed on an international stage for the first time, facing experienced opponents and high levels of competition.
