San Matías: Man killed in armed attack at barbershop

A 31-year-old man, identified as Pablo Roberto Saavedra Souza and believed to be a Brazilian national, was killed in an armed attack at a barbershop in the San José neighborhood of San Matías. The victim sustained approximately 21 gunshot wounds, primarily to the head and abdomen.

This incident is part of an escalation of violence in the border region with Brazil. Police have mobilized to conduct controls at major exit points and connections to Brazil as investigations continue. Authorities suggest the violence may be linked to criminal organizations, such as the PCC and Comando Vermelho, attempting to control drug trafficking routes.
