Valter Lavitola denies mistreatment claims amid Ranucci AI photo controversy

Valter Lavitola, who admitted to orchestrating an attack on journalist Sigfrido Ranucci, has denied allegations of mistreatment filed by his former partner, Natalia Potenza. Through his lawyers, Lavitola expressed indignation at the claims and indicated he may file a complaint for slander once legal documents are accessible.

Simultaneously, a controversy has emerged regarding a photograph allegedly showing Ranucci and entrepreneur Maria Rosaria Boccia in an intimate moment. Both Ranucci and Boccia have dismissed the image as a fake created using artificial intelligence. Legal representatives for Boccia have announced intentions to pursue judicial action against those involved in the publication of the alleged photo.

Additionally, Benjamin Chimutengo, a former business associate of Lavitola, has accused Ranucci of biased journalism, claiming the reporter used his position to protect Lavitola while attempting to discredit Chimutengo’s business interests in Zimbabwe. Chimutengo is preparing legal action against Ranucci and the broadcaster Rai.
