San Sebastián International Film Festival announces 2026 lineup and jury

The 74th San Sebastián International Film Festival, scheduled for September 18–26, 2026, has announced its official jury and a major star-studded lineup. American filmmaker Ira Sachs will preside over the Official Competition jury, joined by Brazilian actress and producer Alice Braga, Japanese producer Genki Kawamura, French screenwriter Catherine Paillé, Basque actress Patricia López Arnaiz, Swedish actor Bill Skarsgård, and British producer Mike Goodridge.

The festival will showcase 263 films from 47 countries. Confirmed attendees include high-profile actors such as Brad Pitt, Marion Cotillard, Penélope Cruz, Orlando Bloom, Rami Malek, and Jeremy Irons. Notable directors in attendance include Fatih Akin, Jesse Eisenberg, and Pablo Larraín.

Two major highlights of the edition will be the Donostia Awards, which will be presented to Werner Herzog and Naomi Watts. Herzog will be honored by Orlando Bloom, while J.A. Bayona will present the award to Watts.
