San Vicente del Raspeig approves police and Guardia Civil building upgrades
The San Vicente del Raspeig municipal council approved a contract worth €246,000 with Nerco Infraestructuras to remodel the local police station. The 160‑day project will reorganise interior spaces, create a dedicated area for the Family Support Service, install new access‑control systems, replace shutters and improve fire‑protection, electrical, lighting and air‑conditioning facilities.
The council also authorised the amendment of the contract for the renovation of the Guardia Civil barracks, eliminating the planned prefabricated modules, removing asbestos, repairing structural elements and the roof, and converting a formerly vacant house into administrative offices. The additional work adds €20,000 to the budget, bringing the total cost to about €194,000. Both projects were presented by mayor and architecture councillor Pachi Pascual as efforts to modernise facilities and improve service to citizens.
