Sanaa government issues military warning to Saudi Arabia

The Sanaa-based government has intensified its political and military messaging toward Riyadh, emphasizing a strategy of “blockade for blockade and escalation for escalation.” Jalal al-Ruwaishan, Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security, stated that Yemen remains committed to this equation in response to any Saudi actions targeting the country.

Al-Ruwaishan urged Saudi leadership to reassess the Yemeni landscape, noting that years of conflict have failed to break Sanaa’s will. He also issued warnings to local factions supported by Riyadh, calling them “tools” and advising them to change course.

On the military front, the Sanaa administration asserted its capability to conduct large-scale operations, citing recent actions on the West Coast. While maintaining that Sanaa seeks an honorable peace, officials emphasized that any settlement will not come at the expense of Yemeni sovereignty or strength.
