Sanaa government warns Saudi Arabia of stronger response to escalation
The Sanaa government spokesperson, Dr. Omar al-Bukhaiti, has warned Saudi Arabia that any further escalation against the Republic of Yemen will be met with a “stronger and harsher Yemeni response.” Speaking to the Saba news agency, al-Bukhaiti outlined a policy of “escalation against escalation and blockade against blockade,” asserting Yemen's right to self-defense.
Al-Bukhaiti dismissed recent Saudi allegations regarding Yemeni targeting of Mecca as false, characterizing them as a policy of fabrication. He noted that Saudi military aircraft operating from Khamis Mushait and Taif have conducted 732 air raids against the Yemeni people, violating national sovereignty.
The spokesperson further accused Saudi Arabia of attempting to carry out criminal explosions targeting civilians in Sanaa. He stated that any continued aggression would increase the cost for the Saudi regime and emphasized that the Yemeni armed forces maintain precision in their strikes, attributing any civilian casualties to the failure of Saudi air defense missiles.
