Sanada Ten Braves drama announces new cast members

TV Asahi has announced additional casting for the upcoming ninja action drama ‘Sanada Ten Braves: Shadows of the Ten Ninja’, scheduled to premiere in October 2026. The series stars Sho Iwamoto of Snow Man as Sarutobi Sasuke.

The new cast members include Shido Nakamura as the ruthless ninja leader Hattori Hanzo, Tsuyoshi Naito as Tokugawa Ieyasu, and Chiaki Kuriyama as Yodo-dono. Other notable performers include Rinka Kumada, Ryuga Sato, and Mendy Sekiguchi.

Set 14 years after the Battle of Sekigahara, the story blends historical facts with fiction to follow ten fictional vassals serving the legendary Sanada Yukimura. The production aims to deliver high-quality action and human drama using advanced visual technology and filming locations in Kyoto.
