Sanada Ten Yushi drama cast announced starring Sho Iwamoto

The cast for the upcoming ninja action period drama ‘Sanada Ten Yushi SHADOWS OF THE TEN NINJA’ has been announced. Starring Sho Iwamoto of Snow Man, the series is scheduled to premiere in October on TV Asahi.

Set 14 years after the Battle of Sekigahara, the story blends historical facts with fiction to follow the ten legendary ninjas who served Sanada Yukimura. Masanobu Ando will portray the central figure, Sanada Yukimura, while Sho Iwamoto plays the genius ninja Sarutobi Sasuke. Other key cast members include Taishi Nakagawa as Kirigakure Saizo, Rikka Ihara as the female ninja Yuri Kamonosuke, and Kairi Jo as Sanada Daisuke.

The production aims for a global audience, utilizing advanced visual technology and filming on location in Kyoto to deliver large-scale action sequences. The ensemble cast also includes So Takei, Ryutaro Imai, Kousho Makino, Joel Dickson, Kenta Hamano, Tetsu Kaneda, and Yoshihiko Hakamada.
