Sanctuary of Fátima hosts religious pilgrimages

The Sanctuary of Fátima has hosted various religious gatherings, including a pilgrimage by approximately 1,500 faithful from the Diocese of Viseu on October 3. Led by Bishop António Luciano, the group participated in prayer and Eucharist, focusing on the Message of Fátima and calls for peace and service to others.

Additionally, the Sanctuary welcomed the annual pilgrimage of the Deaf community. The event included a visit to the exhibition ‘Refúgio e Caminho’ (Refuge and Path), which commemorates the centenary of the apparitions to Sister Lúcia, as well as penitential celebrations and Eucharist services featuring Portuguese Sign Language interpretation.
