Sandals Resorts expands Jamaican wedding offerings
Sandals Resorts is expanding its destination wedding services in Jamaica through a US$200 million transformation of its Montego Bay, Caribbean Cay, and South Coast properties. The initiative includes the introduction of new accommodations, such as the brand’s first double queen suites, designed specifically for honeymooners and large wedding parties.
To promote these offerings, Sandals is providing a free upgraded Sweetheart Wedding Package for qualifying 2027 bookings. This package, applicable to weddings of up to 50 guests at select resorts, includes a dedicated planning team, ceremony venues, a private cocktail reception, and waived marriage license fees. Additionally, the company has launched the Celebration Collection by Island Routes, which offers private experiences such as catamaran sailings and culinary masterclasses for proposals and vow renewals.
Jamaica’s luxury hospitality sector continues to feature a variety of specialized accommodations, ranging from boutique cliffside hotels in Negril to large-scale all-inclusive resorts in Falmouth and Montego Bay. Travelers are advised to verify operating statuses, as some major resorts are scheduled for reopening or changes in 2026 and 2027.
