SanDisk launches Optimus SSD series and new NAS storage solutions

SanDisk has launched several new internal SSD product lines targeting different market segments, including gamers, content creators, and professional NAS users.

The SanDisk Optimus series is categorized into three tiers: the standard Optimus for content creators, the Optimus GX for gamers, and the Optimus GX Pro for professionals and AI developers. The high-end GX Pro 8100 model utilizes the PCIe 5.0 interface, offering sequential read speeds of up to 14,900 MB/s and write speeds of up to 14,000 MB/s. These models are available in capacities ranging from 1 TB to 8 TB, with some versions featuring RGB heatsinks.

Additionally, SanDisk introduced the NAS 600 and NAS 800 series specifically for network-attached storage environments. The NAS 600 SATA SSD is designed to replace traditional HDDs in existing bays, offering up to 2,500 TBW endurance. The NAS 800 NVMe SSD utilizes PCIe 5.0 to support high-performance workloads such as database management, virtualization, and agentic AI, with capacities reaching up to 7.68 TB.
