SanDisk launch of new SSD and NAS storage products
Overview
SanDisk has introduced several new storage solutions, including the Optimus SSD series and a specialized NAS SSD portfolio.
The Optimus series targets gamers, content creators, and AI developers through three tiers: standard Optimus, Optimus GX, and the high-end Optimus GX Pro. The GX Pro 8100 utilizes a PCIe 5.0 interface to achieve sequential read speeds of up to 14,900 MB/s and write speeds of up to 14,000 MB/s, with capacities between 1 TB and 8 TB.
For network-attached storage environments, SanDisk launched the NAS 600 and NAS 800 series. The NAS 600 is a SATA SSD designed to replace traditional hard drives in existing bays, offering up to 2,500 TBW endurance. The NAS 800 is an NVMe SSD utilizing PCIe 5.0 to support high-performance workloads such as virtualization and database management. Both NAS models are optimized for reliability in RAID configurations and include a 5-year warranty.
