SanDisk launches Pokémon-themed storage and Xbox expansion cards

SanDisk has launched several new storage products, including a special collection to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Pokémon. Officially licensed by The Pokémon Company International, the collection features two distinct designs: the Mew Edition USB-C flash drive and the Mewtwo Edition portable SSD.

The Mew Edition flash drive offers up to 128GB of storage with read speeds of up to 250MB/s, designed for mobile use across phones, macOS, and Windows. The Mewtwo Edition portable SSD is available in 500GB and 1TB capacities, providing read speeds up to 1,000MB/s and a rugged design capable of withstanding drops of up to 2 meters.

Additionally, SanDisk is expanding its Optimus portfolio with the GX C50 Storage Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S. This officially licensed NVMe-based card supports the Xbox Velocity Architecture and Quick Resume feature, with capacities reaching up to 2TB. While SanDisk enters the market to compete with established players like Seagate and Western Digital, pricing and availability vary by retailer.
