Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Love & War' to debut first‑look posters on India's Independence Day

Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is set to unveil the first character posters for his upcoming period romance Love & War on August 15, coinciding with India’s Independence Day. The posters feature the film’s three leads – Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal – marking the first public glimpse of the star‑studded trio together.

Principal photography is in its final stage, with Vicky Kaushal having completed his portions and Kapoor and Bhatt scheduled to finish roughly 20 more days of shooting before the end of August. Bhansali is also considering an immersive video or motion‑poster announcement to accompany the poster reveal. The film, budgeted at about ₹300 crore, is slated for a wide theatrical release on January 22, 2027, timed for the Republic Day holiday weekend.
