Fruit Attraction trade fair showcases global horticultural innovation in Madrid

The 18th edition of Fruit Attraction is being held in Madrid from October 6 to 8, serving as a major international hub for the fruit and vegetable sector. Organized by IFEMA Madrid and Fepex, the event expects to host approximately 2,500 companies and 121,000 professionals across 162,000 square meters.

Key industry participants are showcasing diverse advancements. The Port of Bilbao is highlighting its role as an Atlantic gateway, focusing on cold chain innovation and new container services to the Americas and Canada. Agroponiente is presenting its '5.0' model, which integrates artificial intelligence and sustainability into agricultural production. SanLucar is introducing new product concepts and packaging solutions, while ILIP is demonstrating circular economy packaging, such as R-PET baskets designed to reduce resource use.

The event also features recognition for excellence through the Best Stand Awards, which honor creativity and sustainability in exhibition design. With nearly half of the exhibitors coming from abroad, the fair underscores the global nature of the horticultural supply chain.
