Sanrio announces new games, sweets, and merchandise for 2026

Sanrio is launching several major product lines and media projects centered around its popular characters.

In gaming, Sanrio Games and Bandai Namco will release ‘Hello Kitty Party Land’ for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on October 29, 2026. The title features over 145 characters and 45 cooperative mini-games.

In retail and food, Ginza Cozy Corner will release a Sanrio-themed sweets collection starting August 28, 2026, featuring Pompompurin—the winner of the 2026 Sanrio Character Award—alongside Hello Kitty and Cinnamoroll. Additionally, a ‘Happy Kuji’ lottery series titled ‘Sanrio characters PUNKS Party 〜Halloween2026〜’ will launch on September 18, 2026, featuring characters in punk-rock themed outfits.

To celebrate Pompompurin’s 30th anniversary, a massive 105cm ‘All-Embracing Pompompurin’ cushion wearing a crown and cape is also being released via Premium Bandai.
