Sanrio characters to feature in new capsule toy releases in Japan

Sanrio characters are set to feature in new capsule toy releases in Japan. Aeon Fantasy will begin rolling out the ‘Sanrio Characters Funyu Shaka Keyholder’ series starting September 29, 2026, through its ‘Capu-evo’ cashless capsule machines. The collection includes five designs featuring characters such as Hello Kitty, Pompompurin, Cinnamoroll, Hangyodon, and Pekkle. These keyholders feature a donut-shaped transparent ring containing colorful beads and sequins that move when shaken.

Additionally, Takara Tomy Arts is releasing a ‘Pompompurin Hero’ figure series during the week of September 24 to celebrate the character's 30th anniversary. The set includes four different hero-themed poses, such as ‘Beam’ and ‘Arriving!’, priced at 400 yen each. The figures are approximately 4.5 cm in size and utilize transparent parts to enhance specific action scenes.
